Bringing the pages of Louis Vuitton’s print magazine to life

For the first time, Louis Vuitton's "The Book," an exclusive print magazine, was extended into the digital world, in line with the overarching Louis Vuitton app strategy and vision to make content accessible and interactive to more clients.

Louis Vuitton's mobile app now offers a digital version of “The Book” magazine. It features 15 articles per editions using AR, 3D, gaming, and spatialized sound technologies to provide immersive experiences based on the print articles. Following the success of edition 14, the digital stories extended to the following issues.

Supernatural

This experience is based on an article about the fabrication process of LV Trainer shoes featured in Book 14. Inspired by the upcycled components of the season’s new LV Trainer, a video game sees the player running through a cityscape gathering components to complete the shoe, introducing Louis Vuitton’s future sustainability commitments along the way.

Board game club

This experience is based on the new Louis Vuitton patterns created to celebrate the 200th brand anniversary. We decided to use the different patterns in a series of mini-games to celebrate the brand in a playful way through a Tic-Tac-Toe, a Gomoku and a Checkers game.

Radiographie

In introducing key Louis Vuitton lifestyle items, a scan over imagery on the printed page reveals augmented reality experiences. Assemble the last pieces of a puzzle in AR. Test the lens of a Louis Vuitton ski mask. Make the Louis Vuitton malle jardin flourish directly from your phone.

Adresse classée

An auditive immersion inside the manufacture, to witness the savoir-faire of Louis Vuitton.

An invitation to navigate through the floors and corridors at Vendome, while spatial sound will spark the curiosity of the guest and allow them to get closer to the place and its history.

By listening in on the processes, the conversations, the noises of the machinery and the gestures of the craftsmen, the imagination will help shape the location.

Mars

This experience is based on an article about the Mars city guide book, written by Sylvain Tesson. To promote this book, we imagined an immersive book reading of the first chapter, voiced by Louis Vuitton’s friends and ambassadors while illustrations of Francois Schuiten are brought to life with animation.
